Overview

Thank you for choosing Salty Tides Trading. Every piece we sell is carefully selected and we want to make sure it reaches you in perfect condition. Please take a moment to read our shipping policy before completing your purchase.

We currently deliver to physical addresses within South Africa only.  The full cost of delivery — including any applicable fees — will be disclosed to you before you confirm your order.

 

Shipping Methods & Delivery Times

We offer the following fulfilment options:

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary based on your location, product availability, and factors outside our control, including courier delays or public holidays. All orders will be fulfilled within 30 days of payment being received, unless an alternative timeframe has been expressly agreed. If we are unable to fulfil your order, we will notify you immediately and arrange a full refund.

 

Request a Shipping Quote

Not sure what your delivery will cost? You are welcome to request a shipping quote from us before completing your purchase — there is no obligation to proceed.

How It Works

• Add items to your cart — browse and select the items you’d like to purchase.
• Contact us before paying — email us at info@saltytidestrading.co.za with your cart contents and your delivery address.
• We will provide a shipping quote — usually within 1 business day.
• Once you’re happy with the quote — proceed to checkout and pay, including the agreed shipping amount. Your order will be dispatched once full payment is confirmed.

Arrange Your Own Courier

Prefer to use your own courier? You are welcome to make your own collection and delivery arrangements. Please note the following:

• Contact us at info@saltytidestrading.co.za to confirm your order and arrange a suitable collection time from our St Francis Bay premises.
• Full payment must be received before goods are released for collection.
• Risk of loss or damage passes to you once the goods are handed to your nominated courier or collected by you. We recommend that adequate insurance is arranged.

 

Shipping Costs

Shipping fees are based on the size, weight, and delivery destination of your order. The full shipping cost will be clearly displayed before you confirm and pay for your order.

 

Factors That Affect Shipping Cost

• Item dimensions and weight (larger or heavier pieces will attract higher fees)
• Delivery destination (major urban centres vs. outlying or rural areas)
• Number of items and total order volume

 

We do not currently offer free shipping.  If a product is defective or the return is due to our error, we will cover the cost of return delivery.

 

Standard Delivery

Courier delivery is available to physical addresses throughout South Africa. Once your order has been processed and payment confirmed, we will arrange delivery with our courier partner to the address provided at checkout.

 

Important Notes

• Someone must be available at the delivery address to receive and sign for the order.
• Large or bulky items may require assistance to carry in upon delivery — please ensure suitable access is available.
• We are unable to deliver to P.O. Boxes or postal addresses.
• Deliveries to remote or outlying areas may take longer than the estimated timeframe.
• A tracking number will be provided by email once your order has been dispatched.

 

Click & Collect

Prefer to collect in person? You are welcome to collect your purchase directly from our premises in St Francis Bay at no delivery charge.

 

How It Works

• Select “Click & Collect” as your delivery method at checkout.
• We will notify you by email or SMS when your order is ready for collection, typically within 3–5 business days of payment being confirmed.
• Please bring your order confirmation (printed or on your device) and a valid form of ID when collecting.
• Orders must be collected within 7 calendar days of the ready-for-collection notification. Uncollected orders may be returned to stock after this period.

 

Our collection address is Unit 12 Bay View Storage, Cnr of 1st & 6th Avenue, St Francis Industrial, Sea Vista, St Francis Bay, 6312. Operating hours will be confirmed in your collection notification.

 

Order Processing

Orders are processed on business days (Monday to Friday, excluding South African public holidays). Orders placed over weekends or on public holidays will be processed on the next available business day. We will fulfill your order timeously, dependant on the size of the order and when the order is placed.

 

• Processing time: 1–2 business days before dispatch or collection preparation.
• An order confirmation email will be sent to you immediately after your order is placed and payment is received.
• A dispatch confirmation, including tracking details, will be emailed to you once your order is on its way.

 

Damaged or Lost Items

We take every care in packaging your order. If your item arrives damaged or goes missing in transit, please contact us as soon as possible at info@saltytidestrading.co.za.

 

• Report any damage within 48 hours of delivery, with clear photographs of the item and its packaging.
• For parcels that appear to be lost, please allow the full estimated delivery window before contacting us.
• We will liaise with our courier partner and work to resolve the matter as quickly as possible. Where loss or damage is due to our error or transit handling, we will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.
